چکیده

Providing high-quality feed is one of the efforts to increase fish productivity and growth reduce mortality. One additional alternative ingredients as a source vegetable protein dragon fruit peel which can be used an ingredient in feed. The study chemical composition with addition flour essential information determine effect benefits by-products (waste) from food processing aquaculture development. This aims evaluate quality after being treated through proximate analysis. test was carried out at Agricultural Product Technology Laboratory Lampung State Polytechnic, June August 2020. results showed that had carbohydrate content 50.74%, crude fiber 26.22%, ash 21.35%, 5.08%, fat 4.80% (dry weight). increased feed, added flour. highest treatment 1.5%, namely 37.79% weight), decreased by 2.0%. 2.0% 11.32% fiber, carbohydrates has increasing dose substitute manufacture also increases utilization waste, especially aquaculture, waste disposal into environment.

Microencapsulation of Dragon Fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) Peel Extract Using Maltodextrin

Dragon fruit peel can be utilized as a natural dye due to betacyanin content, redviolet pigment of betalain group. Betacyanin is unstable to temperature, oxygen, and light, consequently microencapsulation technology is required to maintain its stability. This study aims to determine microencapsulation efficiency of dragon fruit peel extract with variation of encapsulation ratio and to perceive ...

Isolation and identification of myo-inositol crystals from dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus).

Crystals isolated from Hylocereus polyrhizus were analyzed using four different approaches--X-ray Crystallography, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and identified as myo-inositol. The X-ray crystallography analysis showed that the unit-cell parameters were: a = 6.6226 (3) Å, b = 12.0462 ...

Pigment identification and antioxidant properties of red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus)

The aim of this study was to identify pigments present in the red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) and to further investigate the antioxidant properties in this fruit. Pigment was identified using the High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and results confirmed the presence of betanin in sample at a retention time of 11.5 min which corresponded to the retention time of the betanin st...

Homozygote Depression in Gamete-Derived Dragon-Fruit (Hylocereus) Lines

Putative gamete-derived progenies from two Hylocereus species, the diploid H. monacanthus and the tetraploid H. megalanthus, were studied with the dual aims to confirm their gamete origin and to evaluate their potential use as genetic resources. An additional goal was to determine the origin (allotetraploid vs. autotetraploid) of H. megalanthus by exploring morphological variations in the di-ha...
